Father – Mutsuo Кhakamada, Japanese communist, emigrated to the USSR for political reasons in 1939 and was granted Soviet citizenship.
Mother – Nina I. Sinelnikova, retired school teacher.
Husband – Vladimir E. Sirotinsky — financial adviser, manager.
Son Daneela has graduated from the Department of Economics at Lomonosov Moscow State University, got Master’s degree in MGIMO.
Daughter — Maria.
Education
Graduated from the Economics Department of the University of International Friendship named after Pathriss Lumumba.
Defended doctoral dissertation in Economics at the Economics Department of Moscow State University.
In 1983, obtained academic status of Assistant Professor.
Speaks English and French.
Career
Beginning in 1980, worked as a junior researcher in the Research Institute of State Planning of the Russian Federation.
In 1985, worked in the Technical University at Likhachev machine-building factory (ZIL) as a Senior Lecturer, Assistant Professor.
In 1989, business engagement has begun. The following is a list of business positions and activities: Manager of co-operative society «Systems + programs», Chief Expert and member of Exchange Council of the Russian Commodity Stock Exchange. Actively engaged in charities, such as, organized a nursing center to help bed-patients at home in Sverdlov district of Moscow.
Three times was elected as Independent Deputy in Orekhovo-Borisovo district of Moscow.
Was a member of the State Duma (Parliament), and a member of its Committee on Economic Policy and then —Committee on Budgeting, Taxation, Banking and Finance.
Since April 1995 was a Chairman of the Russian political public party «Common Cause» («Obtschee Delo»).
In 1997, by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, was appointed as a Chairman of the State Committee of the Russian Federation for Small Business Support and Development.
In December 1999, again was elected as Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation in Eastern district of Saint Petersburg.
In June 2000, was elected as the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
In 2004, she put herself for the Russian Federation presidential election and she has obtained about 4 million voices of voters.
In 2004-2005 – Chairman of the Russian Democratic Party “Our Choice”, that joined the Public Movement “People’s – Democratic Union”.
In 2006 – 2008 being a part of this movement has organized and headed the Interregional public foundation on development of social solidarity «Our choice».
In March 2008, Irina Khakamada has announced herself out of political activity.
From 2006 and nowadays keeps coaching and educational activities.
Achievements and nominations
In 1995 «Time magazine» called her «a politician of the XXI century».
At the end of 1996, the same magazine listed her among the «100 Best Known Women of the World».
In 2002 — the speaker from the Russian Federation at 57th session of General Assembly of the United Nations Organization on a theme «Culture of the world».
In 2005 was nominated for the Nobel Prize among 1000 women of the Globe.
By results of sociological surveys she twice was named the «Woman of the Year».
Coaching and educational activities
Since 2006 –business coach of the international level, is included in the top ten business speakers of Russia, conducts personal coaching.
Gives master-classes on how to be successful remaining at the same time a free person. Keeps leadership programs.
Gives master-classes and lectures in several training companies, Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) and other universities.
Master classes and lectures in and out of Russia were attended by more than 350 thousand people.
Earlier was a host of the author’s program «Success in the Big City» on radio «Silver Rain» and «Success in the Big City» program on Park TV channel.

Content of author’s master classes is reflected in the best-seller

Wrote the political novel «Love, game over. History of one political suicide». Cumulative circulation of books — more than 1 million.
In 2018, the new book «Restart: how to live many lives»was published.
